36-inch wide vanity to complete this entire bathroom remodel. Let me show you how we did it so a while back we took on a total home renovation, and one of the projects that needed to be done was a 36-inch vanity for the master bathroom. This 36-inch vanity is made up of mainly per-prime plywood from pure bond and one by twos and two by twos that are made of poplar.
All the plywood can be special ordered and is readily accessible to the typical maker builder you'll notice that the preferred method of joinery here is going to be Craig screws or pocket hole. I decided to go ahead and add a little trim to the bottom and the top of the vanity. Now, with all the drawers assembled, we can go ahead and install those into the cabinet. We did so with soft-close drawers, slides from Liberty, Hardware - and I gotta say they are pretty amazing. So now it's time to make the drawer fronts and the cabinet doors for the drawer fronts.
It's fairly simple we're just going to use a solid piece of poplar and I'm gonna go ahead and measure the overall openings of each one of those drawers and then subtract a quarter of an inch from the height and the width to get that will leave Us an eighth of an inch gap, all the way around the drawer front for the cabinet doors we're doing something a little bit different.
