This is so that I've got some wood, that I'll be able to attach to the bottom of the metal cabinet. To attach to the hairpin legs, otherwise, I don't think it's going to attach it won't attach to the metal. So I'm just going to cut out four legs here. Here's where I ran into a little snag, so I realized that when I tried to trace out the hairpin leg exactly and cut it with my jigsaw, it didn't quite fit well because there is that little half-inch lip there, that you see that the wood pieces are sliding under so I have to account for that, so I just added half an inch to the piece and the hairpin leg fit perfectly and in order to secure the wooden pieces, I use e6000, a friend of mine recommended it.
I had it on hand, so I went ahead and used that I clamped it down really tightly and I let it sit for about a week. Typically, you only need to let it sit for about maybe 24 to 48 hours, maybe 72, depending on what you're gluing, but alright other things going on. So I let it sit for about a week. Okay, so it's been about a week. I have not had time to work on this project, but it is all drive-e 6-thousand work really good to get these pieces of wood clamped on here and now we can just remove the clamp, put the hairpin legs on and then spray it down.
So let's go ahead and remove these clamps, so I had this cabinet professionally stripped now, even though it was professionally stripped, I still had to sand it well, I started with 220 grit sandpaper, which was crazy because all I did was scratch it. So I went out. I bought some 800 grit sandpaper and it worked really well.
