We're now going to stand back at timber, we're going to be using a belt sander here, as it will give us a nice smooth finish. We want to make sure we have a nice level finish as well. It's looking great so sanded back. We need to make two of these, so we're going to repeat exactly the same process for a second board, so you should now have two of these pieces of timber. They've all been sanded back you're now going to pick out the best piece for your top.
This bathroom is ready to go. We've already had the tradesmen in and they've done, the electrics and the plumbing. I want to put something of my own in here, so I'm going to build a beautiful Idol floating vanity. It's on a be a real centerpiece for the bathroom here, all the tools and materials I'm going to need to make my floating vanity. The first thing we're going to do is join our two pieces of timber together.
We now need to glue and nail them together when you apply the glue to your corners, just want to make sure you get a really good project, we're going to continue on nailing and gluing our miter corners, making sure that they're flush. This is already starting to take shape, let's glue in this final piece thing now, we just need to put some brackets in to provides an additional strength, we're going to drill and screw in really. We now need to measure the top of our vanity unit, in particular to preserve the natural look of the wood, I'm going to give it a clear stain. This will go on looking kind of milky but it'll dry, clear.
